  • What is asphalt?

Asphalt is the heaviest part of petroleum (oil). We use hot-mix asphalt, or cold-mix asphalt, great for winter pothole repairs.

  • How thick does my asphalt need to be?

Surface thickness depends on the types of vehicles and weight on your surface.

  • When and why should I sealcoat my driveway?

    Every 3-5 years.

  • How long does an asphalt parking lot or driveway last?

Asphalt surfaces should last 30+ years.

  • Why should I choose asphalt pavement for my paving needs?

Asphalt is an excellent paving material. It is affordable and provides excellent performance.

  • What is an overlay, and is it appropriate for my needs?

A new layer of asphalt over an old layer. One of our team members can determine if it’s appropriate for your surface.

  • Can you perform asphalt repairs in the winter?

Yes, but we recommend repairs or replacement before winter arrives.

  • When and where should cold-mix or hot-mix asphalt be used?

Cold mix is used in off-season situations, or for quick fixes. Hot mix is used during regular paving season.

  • How do you decide what type of asphalt should be used?

One of our team members will inspect the site and choose the best match. We will formulate the product to match the specifications.

  • What’s the difference between permeable and porous asphalt?

Porous asphalt allows water to pass through the asphalt. Permeable asphalt reduces runoff over impervious surfaces.
